What is XERF™ skin tightening?
Over time, tissue loses its elasticity and firmness. In addition to the natural aging process, genetic predisposition or significant weight loss can also cause contours to become less defined or certain areas to sag. XERF™ addresses this issue using advanced radiofrequency technology. Developed in South Korea, the system uses a dual wavelength to reach different depths of tissue. Controlled heating stimulates the body’s own processes for the regeneration of collagen and elastin. This helps create more defined facial contours and firm specific areas of the body. An integrated cooling system protects the skin’s surface throughout the procedure.

What changes does the treatment bring about?
For the face, the primary focus is on visibly firming the tissue. This can make the jawline, cheek area, and the area under the chin appear more defined and harmonious. On the body, the method is suitable for specific areas where the tissue has lost its elasticity—for example, following weight changes or as part of the natural aging process. The existing tissue is not altered by adding volume. Rather, the result develops gradually over several weeks through stimulated regenerative processes and blends naturally into the patient’s appearance.

Preparing for Treatment
Before the session, we’ll assess the condition of your skin and discuss which areas you’d like to have treated and what results you’re hoping to achieve. Based on this, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan and explain the procedure and your options. No special preparation is usually required. You should avoid intense sun exposure and highly irritating skincare products in the days leading up to your appointment.
Treatment Process
During the treatment, the XERF™ handpiece is moved evenly over the designated skin areas. The dual radiofrequency reaches both superficial and deeper tissue layers, extending down to the SMAS layer, while an integrated cooling system continuously protects the skin’s surface. This allows for intensive stimulation of collagen production without damaging the skin. Most patients describe the treatment as a pleasant warmth, and it lasts about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
Immediately after treatment
You can resume your normal daily routine immediately. Occasionally, you may experience mild redness or a temporary sensation of warmth, which usually subsides within a few hours. Since the skin’s surface remains intact, no recovery time is usually required.
Post-Treatment Care
No special precautions are necessary. During the first few days, we recommend using mild skincare products, keeping your skin well-moisturized, and applying SPF 50+ sunscreen consistently to areas exposed to the sun. You should avoid intense sun exposure and tanning beds for the time being. We’d be happy to provide additional advice on appropriate skincare for the days following the procedure.
